Dr Zam and Family

Dr Zam is the pen name for Dr Mohammad Nizam Bin Abdul Kadir, who has a Doctor of Science in Information Technology Education. He was trained as a cellular and molecular biologist with Scientific papers published while doing his Master of Science and Bachelor of Science Degrees. He is the creator of the Youth Scientists Programme, and also founder of B.R.A.I.N. International (Brain Research And Innovation Network). He designed and developed the M.E.A.L.S System of Success for youths and adults, which is used in his ‘Yes I Can!’ Success Programmes.

He has many accolades to his name, including being the world’s top 5 most innovative educator, and Singapore’s most innovative teacher in 2009, winning a distinction award in a MOE-Microsoft Professional Development Award. He was awarded one of the country’s most prestigious scholarships, Public Service Commission in Teaching.  He was also awarded by Panasonic as the Best Facilitator, and voted as the Most Inspiring by his own pupils. He was also named the Most Valuable Player in a Soccer Charity Event. He has appeared in media, both on TV and newspapers in the three different languages.

Dr Zam is the honorary secretary of a not-for-profit and non-governmental organization, Ummah Wahida LLP, which focuses on uniting the Muslims from all over the world, through its social networking engine, IslamCircle.com.

He has been consultant for many companies, in the areas of Internet Marketing, Social Media, IT Education and Psychology. He has been a trainer, educator and speaker for many years.

His interests are in Life Sciences, Education, Information and Communication Technology, Human Mind and Behaviour, Theology and History, and many more.

This website is his home in the cyberspace, where he hopes he can touch many lives with what he has to share with the world, through his Favourite Things.

Dr Zam is happily married to Dr Shazilla Binte Noordin, a specialist in Islamic Early Education, and is the founder of the Early Childhood Institute in Singapore. They both have 2 children, a daughter Maryam Qistina, and a son Luqman Al-Hakeem. The family currently lives in Singapore.
